CHOCOLATES CLAVILEÑO
The first lines of the history of Chocolates Clavileño were written more than 130 years ago. It was Jaume 'Martí', great-grandfather of the current managers, who decided to dedicate his life to the produccion of this precious 'liquid gold'. From that moment on, generation after generation, they have followed this call, improving systems and techniques but always carrying on the tradition, the artisanal elaboration inherited from their ancestors.
Proud of their history, Chocolates Clavileño have created a small museum, in a space next to the current factory, which explains how chocolate is made and the evolution of this process. It tells the history of this sweet through former objects and tools, from the cocoa grinding stone to mortars, cocoa roasters, scales, or the old wooden boxes where the chocolate was transported for sale, packed in cloth bags. The chocolate was delivered by cart around the villages of La Mancha region, door to door. In this museum we will also discover the history of this family of chocolatiers and the reason why they created the Clavileño brand in 1960, named after Don Quixote´s flying horse.
MarcosNo sólo es el chocolate que es exquisito, también son las personas que lo acompañan. Enhorabuena familia Clavileño.
