La Vila Joiosa is sea, is Mediterranean. Fortunately our good climate, an annual average of 18º and almost 365 days of sunshine, allows us to enjoy ourselves throughout the year. Additionally, the options to have fun that the Mediterranean offers are so diverse that there are always many choices, no matter your tastes, age or needs.
In La Vila Joiosa´s marina, next to the Playa Centro and opposite the fishing port, we find the Club Nàutic La Vila, which offers a wide range of nautical activities: kayaking, sailing, rowing, windsurfing, diving, fishing... There are options for the whole family: adults, young people, boys and girls will find an activity within their expectations of fun. And if you are not sure which one to choose, the 'Sea Baptism' is the perfect option. During a day you can have a first contact with the different nautical sports and get a basic idea to know which one or which ones you prefer to sail the Mediterranean.
The Club Nàutic La Vila offers us the possibility to enjoy our favourite water sports by providing us with all kinds of materials and accessories necessary for their practice. Eventually, if it is the first time that you practice nautical sports in the sea or you want to know about some new modality, you will find a wide range of courses to discover the 'immensity of the sea' in a fun and safe way.
Within the facilities of the Club Nàutic La Vila, you will also find the Ali Sub diving centre, where you can enjoy diving in areas of great underwater wealth, in natural and very well preserved environments. They also offer 'baptisms', for those who want to feel for the first time the sensation of breathing under the sea, the silence, moving from one place to another as if you were flying; and training courses to improve yourself and live new experiences.
If you are already an expert in diving, in La Vila Joiosa you can live a very special experience: visit the underwater site of the Bou Ferrer Shipwreck. From Ali Sub, with the collaboration of La Vila Joiosa City Council, Vilamuseu, Generalitat Valenciana and Club Nàutic, you can dive and have a look yourself at the archaeological excavation of a Roman ship that sank between 64-68 BC in front of the Roman municipium of Allon with thousands of amphorae (full of fish sauce), and lead ingots marked as a personal property of Emperor Nero.
In the city you can also find different companies with different kinds of nautical activities: basic training courses, day and night outings in Kayak, jet skis ... and many other activities to enjoy the Mediterranean. Updated information about all these activities can be found at the Tourist Office.
